Aerial Triangulation
Spatial Data Consultants, Inc., offers the engineering, mapping, and surveying industry a complete aerotriangulation service. This will reduce the overall cost of field-obtained ground surveying while assuring quality control in photogrammetric map production. SDC utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and software to accomplish analytical aerial triangulation. For part marking and transfer, we use a Kern 2 Point Transfer Device with independent zoom capability. Accurate point measurement is accomplished using one of our Intergraph/Zeiss, IMA Analytical Stereoplotters. Actual triangulation is carried out on a Pentium Pro 200mhz workstation using integrated Simultaneous Bundle Block Adjustment (ISBBA) software.
The staff responsible for aerotriangulation have both professional credentials in theoretical photogrammetry and extensive hands on experience. The project sizes range from 3 stereo models to large countywide projects. Prior to any project being flown, our staff and project managers design a control network appropriate for the clients particular need and project objectives. This preplanning helps to insure that there will be no ground control gaps and the client will receive the most accurate project possible.
Spatial Data Consultants, Inc., will supply all of our clients will a hard copy listing of all triangulation results as well as a digital format if required. The aerotriangulation report will contain complete information on each point including the residual and Root Mean Square Error for each. |
