Aerial Photography
Starts with a creating a flight plan...
Spatial Data Consultants Inc., provides aerial photographic services and photo lab products to clients throughout the eastern US. All of our aerial photography will be captured using a twin engine Navajo Chieftain or Piper Aztec aircraft, and/or a helicopter, each mounted with Wild RC 30 camera systems equipped with 6" focal length lens cones. These systems have an Area Weighted Average Resolution (AWAR) between 110 and 122 cycles/mm - the highest in the industry. The camera systems are calibrated by the USGS and are recalibrated every three years to ensure the highest quality available.
In consultation with our clients of their specific project, SDC will prepare flight plans and control diagrams that are project specific for coverage, scale, overlap, and film type. Once the photography has been captured we will begin processing the film within 24 hours
to ensure that the coverage and exposures are correct. We take full precaution on every project to ensure that all project specifications have been met. Our outlets can produce quality black & white, natural color, false color infrared, and multi-spectral photography for conventional mapping as well as digital ortho imagery.
Depending on the specifications, Spatial Data can produce a combination of black & white, color, false color infrared, multi-spectral photographic products, including contact prints, diapositives, film duplicates, mosaics, enlargements, and transparencies in varying sizes.
Spatial Data Consultants also offers our clients storage of aerial film at no additional cost. We will maintain the film in controlled climatic conditions. This film library service in some cases may prevent the need for costly reflight.
